When the tide is out...

Who are the Low Tide Playboys?

The Low Tide Playboys is a concept band conjured by Andre Comeaux to demonstrate his original Country Music lyrics.  Andre became a fan of the genre when his wife took him to see Dwight Yokum and Buck Owens at the Fox Theater in Atlanta in 1989.  Travis Tritt was the opening act and when he played Country Club, that was the spark.  "I love Country Music," Andre explains.  "I love the stories the songs tell and I wanted to tell stories I had in my head."  He has been writing  lyrics on and off since then.  Over the years, he has attempted to develop his lyrics into songs reaching out to musicians directly and through songwriting contests, but without success.

Encourgaged by family and friends, he began creating actual music in 2025, pairing his lyrics with vocals and instrumentals generated by AI tools. Andre hopes to find artists who want to work with his concepts and bring what he has created to life in real, human performances.  Please see "Inquiries" below if you are an interested artist. Otherwise, just enjoy what you hear!

When not working on music, Andre is a husband, father, grandfather and insurance broker.  Not a performing artist himself, he writes, fishes and hunts from COMOTEL, his camp/studio on the Boston Canal near Vermilion Bay in South Louisiana.
